TR322283 - Applying Integrated Factory Modeling at the Automotive Start-up E.GO Mobile AG

Session Description

Matthias Bertling (e.GO Mobile AG) and Matthias Dannapfel (WZL of RWTH Aachen University) will provide an overview and introduction to integrated factory modeling (IFM). How can interdisciplinary teams of architects, designers, technical planners, and project managers collaborate? The introduction of an integrated planning approach revolutionizes the planning process in factory planning. This is made possible by the use of different software tools and workflows. From plan, to design, to build, to validate, to operation, the integrated factory model provides unique value to all project participants through different planning phases. Factory planning has never been so effective, transparent, coordinated, and fast. The example of the young, German, automotive startup e.GO Mobile AG shows how IFM is used as a strategic success factor for the planning and realization of new factories in the automotive industry.
